Meh... too hard, but well thought out.

A lovely looking game, but on the easiest difficulty level it's still too hard.

I thought I was doing well, 6 power plants, 5 mines, slowly terraforming. Then I bought a research centre, what a waste. How are you meant to get the $5k (or $20k!) needed to buy those things, when you get so little income to start with. By wave 25 it's all over, a single ship hitting the city does over 1000 damage.

Sadly, a lovely looking game, funny alien, etc... but let down by the fact it's impossible.

Much fun; improvement, excellent!

I won't spend ages boring everyone here, but this is a great game that is very fun to play. As in all Click games, the characters, backgrounds and so forth as well as the puzzle logic is what makes them enjoyable.

This game scores on all counts and I'm also so very pleased the author listened to his fans (among them me!) who asked that we control both characters independently of each other at points.

Once again an excellent hit, I hope you're making money out of this kind of thing, you deserve it.

A bit too easy and formula driven

COngratulations you have escaped the kitchen but met the big man by the door....

Hmmm, anyway. Interesting game. A tiny bit too repetitive (Click and click some more). Some things required some intuition, (EG the hot water on the thermostat) but some of it was a bit hit and miss.

Anyway, good graphics, short at about 5 minutes and no instructions or intro or anything. Doesn't feel finished :(

Anyway, keep up the work.

Legendary Game

Really loved it, great idea, great action and execution. The graphics were good, sound was good and the slightly sudden deaths a bit scary, (oops what did I do wrong thinking).

Difficulty was fine, finished it quite quickly so I'd love to see more soon. I realise such a large thing takes ages to code though. It was so well done.

Only thing extra to do is perhaps make the dialog text boxes more in style with the other graphics :) Oh, and have your sidekick do something besides giving you hints... Perhaps have him move, or whatever so two of you can do the really hard puzzles if you move him correctly.

Poor

Like many of the other reviews here I was hoping to find that this game was better than the prequel. I was very disapointed. Most of the originality of the first game has been removed in favor of what appear to be fancy graphics.

There's limited maze ability, so you can't finish waves quickly, many of the upgrades and towers are pointless and there's no skill now in completing the game. You WILL win if you build the right turrets, the first game you had to frantically move your maze, create new paths etc.

Oh well, it's an okay game. But just like other Defense games, nothing special.

Okay concept, bugged?

Well, I think it's a good concept with good sounds and graphics. It suits the style you set. But... I get stuck on certain 'secrets', on the hill level there is a cave near some rabbits. I am in there and I've collected everything I can see and then spent five minutes clicking everywhere and I can't get out!

Hmmm

Oh, I've just checked the .fla file and it looks ok - I can see the way out. There's a tunnel with a lantern above it - click it to return back to the game. Hope it helps

Didn't even work in popup view

Awful, game. I mean, I don't know the coding, but it wouldn't load on IE 7 in a popup. I had to switch to another browser and then decided it was awful. You for example start in a bad position, the graphics are simple and collision detection is bad.

The other 'paddle' obviously knows all exact angles, so there's really no skill, when you see it coming you know if you will score or not.

Power-ups, backgrounds, music on/off etc. Please

CapnRyan responds:

It is your computer/ broadband provider's fault that it will not load on your browser.

Do you not think zero is a bit harsh, it is not spam.

Those people who say it's too hard..

It's not hard to beat this game, I am currently 'level 18' and have had more boss fights. My upgrade route was nothing special, I have put some armor on my buildings that means that the Red Blimp probably wouldn't have destroyed me anyway. But on normal I just shot that thing first and let the others bomb me... It's not a hard choice to make...

A new type of blimp that looks nasty and you guys choose to shoot it last? That thing got close to me, but not too close.

Anyway, great game, I am just on the last island now. Look forward to the last missions :)

Okay, so many bugs

I would have loved to play this game, it seemed great. But it had so many bugs;

i) I had a lovely ship with 150 crew and all weapons, I found a 'boat' to attack, I lost the close combat against their 15 men in 3 seconds...

ii) The town was bugged in some places, shops wouldn't accept you to walk to them.

Also:

i) Why walk around anyway? Just let us click shops.
ii) Money is silly sometimes, it costs a lot to keep going.
iii) Other weapons should kill some crew, it's silly that bombs don't.

The animation was good... the game was poor

Great animation and interesting story-line, however this failed as a game. All you had to do was guard to get past any monster. There was no score to entice you to kill monsters, so it became a case of guarding for ever.

In addition your weapon's range was random, sometimes killing stone frogs from quite far away. Please make sure the Hitbox is worked out ok.

The game element needs a lot more work, I think this would work best as a movie rather than a game as I don't think the current zoomed in style with no freedom of movement really works.
